Katha Dance Theatre’s fall performance ‘Sufism remembered'

 This project is about honoring and preserving the rich and vivid poetry and music of Sufi tradition that finds a voice even today. Sufism Remembered will allow KDT artistic director Rita Mustaphi and Company members to work with internationally renowned visiting artists from India, Composer/vocalist Debashis Sarkar, Composer/vocalist Pooja Goswami, Percussionist Utpal Ghoshal, Sitar (string instrument) artist/composer Chandrachur Bhattyacharjee, female Kathak dancers Luna Poddar, Kiran Chauhan and male Kathak dancer Ashimbandhu Bhattacharjee along with Light Designer Dinesh Poddar opening up the moment of performance to collaborative spontaneity and inspiration.
