| Thirteenth Avenue, with the presence of the Ritz Theater, several saloons and eateries and the venerable Modern Cafe, is the community's downtown - the gathering place - for this reemerging neighborhood. During the past few years 13th Avenue has begun to come back to life with new and reinvigorated stores, restaurants and bars - and signs of a new life for the Ritz Theater. Building on this strength by lighting up the performance and community event center, the Ritz will solidify the reputation and future of a neighborhood as charming and as welcoming as any in the Midwest. |
